Tournament Breakdown

Qualifiers

  • A special “Winter Tournament” leaderboard will be opened to select the 16 participants for the finals.
  • This leaderboard will be live from 12pm Eastern Time on the 20th of February until 12pm on the 26th.
  • At the end of this period the 16 fastest players on the “Winter Tournament” leaderboard will qualify for the finals.
  • The fastest player from qualification who doesn’t win a prize in the finals will win the Qualification 1st place prize.

  • Registration is via Discord before noon Eastern Time on the 26th.
  • It is not necessary to register before setting a time, but you must register if you want to be included in the semi-finals.

Semi-Finals

  • There will be 4 semi-final race fixtures with 4 players assigned to each fixture.
  • A fixture consists of multiple races until one player has won two races.
  • The first player to win two races in the fixture will go on to the finals.
  • Fixture timings and group assignment will be announced on the 26th via Discord.
  • The tracks to be used for each race will also be announced in advance via Discord.

Finals

  • The winner of each of the 4 semi-finals will be entered into the finals.
  • The finals will consist of 3 races. The player in last place of each race will be eliminated.
  • The first player to be eliminated will win the 4th place prize.
  • The second player to be eliminated will win the 3rd place prize.
  • Second place in the final race will win the 2nd place prize.
  • First place in the final race will win the 1st place prize.
  • Exact race timing and coordination will be done via Discord.

Things to Consider

  • Please check in on Discord 10 minutes before your fixture starts.
  • If you are late to a fixture you may be disqualified.
  • If a race is affected by bugs or network problems etc. then please notify the tournament organizer (@pixelSmuggler) on Discord. We will do our best to be fair. In the case of contention, we may call for a rematch or declare the official result via Discord. Our word is final.
  • Recording races and sharing video is encouraged.
  • You agree to allow us to use race recordings for promotions etc.
  • In the event of needing a tiebreaker for unexpected circumstances we may use qualifier fastest lap times.
  • By entering the competition you agree to these rules.

Tips and other Information

  • Be sure to have your Quest charged before your fixture.
  • Have spare controller batteries on stand-by.
  • Prizes will be sent via PayPal within 7 days of receiving the winner’s payment information.

Competitive Rules

  • Void Racer team may determine extra rules for software problems, etc during PvP matches.
  • Simple leaderboard verification through in game leaderboards.
  • Players may ONLY compete with Oculus Quest 1 or Quest 2 headsets.
  • Using glitches, exploits, and other methods such as pause abusing, may result in disqualification.
  • Void Racer team reserves all rights to ask for photo, video, screenshot or other proof of scores before winners are determined at home as well as to implement any other anti-cheat methods. Recording your mini game results via video and/or screenshots is thus highly recommended, however not mandatory (except in the brackets which will be mandatory)
  • No game modifiers.
